5/15/08: After a long offseason and a grueling tryout process, the roster for PoNY 2008 is set. Founder and captain DQ is no longer on the team, but a new crop of players with top-flight experience at the club and college level is ready to fill in and help take PoNY to the next level. Aaron Bell, David Needleman and Seth Crockford come to the club from the Northwest, bringing valuable experience from the highest levels; the tandem of Ben Saper and Reid Hopkins are Brown teammates moving into club Open together; their former college rival Nate Raines (Dartmouth) also moves to the next level with New York; Nick Reich makes it one more Carleton alum on the squad; Webster McBride plays his first full season with PoNY after joining late in the season last year; and Mio Panasci crosses the river, joining PoNY after several years on New Jersey’s Pike.
